What is the source of the good memory? And how would you know that this memory still will be good and strong with the time pass? Do you think this memory would be strong enough to replace all struggles of your Monday to Friday life? Oh forgive me my philosophic mood.
What I want actually to say, we are never know what memory we will save about the next moment 🙂 It was exactly the case that day.
The hot August day didn’t bring me any idea where I want to hike. It was 4 PM, and I should finally decided. And when I cannot choose between two new things, I’m always return to the third but well-known one. Russian Ridge OSP was exactly this well-known place for a good Sunday hike.
The choce of the route was a combination of previously hiked Ancient Oaks to Hawk Ridge trail and back by the Ridge Trail.
We started late, was after 5PM but the sun was still hot. The fog already covered coast and gave us a hope for a mild evening.
We completed Ancient Oaks trail when sun started to settle and shadow became softer. When we came to the junction with Ridge Trail light was yellow. The grassy hills almost glowed under it.
We were near Borel Hill when sun reached the fog and changed color from yellow to pink. I would remember this moment for a log time.
