Russian Ridge: Mindego Hill Hike

Sometimes you want a mountain top experience without living your area. You need breathtaking views and the wind in your hair. You want to climb; you want a challenge.

I’m so happy that Santa Cruz mountains are mostly opened for hikers… I could tell distinct features of the majority of peninsula parks. But I always happy to check new places. Loke this time with Mindego Hill.
POST worked on the new section of the trail. And finally, we got the opportunity to walk through the cattle land to the top of the hill.
We started from Mindego Parking lot after 4 PM. And no one else parked there. That’s strange how some places are more popular than another. Even when they look alike or give the same access.
The first section goes downhill.

And goes that way until the trails come out from the woods, and you start to see the hill
