San Diego: sunsets

It’s always good to be back 🙂 I didn’t write here for a two months. Nothing special happened. I just lost all my free time and barely will take it back 🙂
Though I will try to write here again.
Right now I’m sitting in the hotel room in San Diego La Jolla. Tomorrow is my last day of my August BT, and I’m pretty happy that I managed to find time to walk to the beach.

Yesterday I visited the place which was on my bucket list from the beginning of the Summer. Crystal Pier caught my eye in with the pastel colors. I took the Uber; we stuck in the evening traffic but in the end, I found myself near the gate of the long pier with dozens of cottages. I was afraid it would be closed for public. At the very end, there were fishermen and only a few tourists walked near me.

Then, of course, I checked the water. Oh, my! I’m living in the Bay Area for the third year, and I used to the cold water of our region. I cannot swim there (I’m afraid of the huge waves) but I liked to walk into the water to feel water on my legs and the sand flowings between the toes. The water at the Pacific Beach was like a lukewarm milk.

At the north end of the beach, there is a stairway with a convenient viewpoint.

I could not miss the sunset. So I walked to the Bird Rock.
There is a nice view from Calumet Park

Newar Birdrock surf I met the big family, so I took only a few photos.

The good place to catch sunset for me was La Jolla Hermosa Park.

Today I decided to move my morning run to the evening and do stroll down to the Scripps Pier. Oh, all these stairways and downhill walkways! They almost killed me.

But the best part – was the run on the beach. I will miss it (((
