Russian Gulch State Park

We opened warm season hikes. Oh, I waited for this for so long. During wet February, I read through posts about waterfalls. I like to check all these crazy places in the foothills and Sierras. But suddenly I stopped on the post about Russian Gulch and fell in love. Green pine forest, canyon, and creek. And waterfall! Of course, it was the reason why I wanted to hike there. Another reason was the place where the park is situated. It’s Mendocino region. Awesome and breathtaking coastal region has the amazing falls. Why not?

So we did it last weekend. We drove to the park from Willits (note to myself: need to hike the range near town) and arrived somewhere near the 12. It was easy to find a parking, the trail was almost empty, the weather was great.
We did the whole loop from the North Range to the Waterfall Loop and back via Fern Canyon trail.

The biggest part of the park is the coastal land. And the views are stunning.
