San Diego. Balboa Park

I always wanted to visit this impressive 1,200-acre urban park. And I was happy to do it.
11.17. San Diego. Balboa Park
From the end of 19 century, this land was the public park. But only preparations for the Panama Exposition

Main Panama-Pacific was held in San Francisco, but San Diego businessmen did their choice, and Panama-California Exposition took place. You could hear more detailed and more interesting story on a California Tower tour in the Museum of Man.

And you’ll get not only the interesting story, but you’ll also see the most impressive view of the park.

There is only guided tour on the 8th floor of the tower, and you could buy it with admission to the museum.

Museum has few very educational Native American pieces.

The second must stop is a Botanical Building and Garden.

San Diego Junior Theater

Desert Garden

Science Center

And San Diego Natural History Museum
Spanish Village
Awesome Japanese Garden

And Alcazar Garden

And why it is named Balboa? Vasco Núñez de Balboa was the first European to cross Central America and see the Pacific Ocean 🙂
