What would you like to do on your birthday? I know what I will always want for my birthday – salty air, fresh breeze, waves, and sand. Ocean has the best background for the birthday. Ocean as my favorite friend is always a pleasant guest on my birthday.
No more lyrics. This year I wanted Orange County beaches. Warm wind and warm waves. So… Laguna Beach. The rocky sister of the best beaches town in the state. Right between Newport Beach and Dana Point. The town so beautiful the majority of SoCal pins is from here. It wasn’t the surprise why I want here. Though I still think, this part of the coast looks way more gorgeous at Winter.
Crystal Cove State Park
So we do stop first at Crystal Cove. 3.2 miles of beaches looked very promising to have a less crowded beach with more or less guaranteed parking.
Laguna Beach
We spent all afternoon on the beach, checked in in the hotel and went exploring Laguna Beach. The town is very walkable. Some places reminded me sweet San Diego but somehow very crowdy 🙂
I would say it was the place I wanted to see with my own eyes. And yes, we were lucky to have a low tide to walk by the tower and do few snaps. Though as very touristic place it was hard 🙂
Balboa Pier
And the next day the birthday girl (me, myself, and I) decided she wants to stop by the pier. And Balboa Pier was exactly what is needed.
