Now I think that I needed to schedule more time on this amazing town. But anyway, we had superb time walking and watching
Old Mission Santa Barbara
We started with the Old Mission Santa Barbara. This place is stunning. You could feel how time stops around you.
We visited on Christmas Eve and checked holiday display infront of the Mission.
Gallery
There are two ways how to get on the Mission grounds. You could take docent-lead tour, or self-guided tour.
You will see inner yards with the fountains, gardens, and a lot of historical things.
Old cemetry
And Mission Church
Old Courthouse
This is another place where you could spend hours.
Interiors are breathtaking with all that Spanish southern charm.
And of course you should check view from the Courthouse Tower
El Presidio
As I told earlier it was Christmas Eve and El Presidio State Historic Park closed before we got to this place.Presidio is in a walking distance from Courthiouse. And by the way you could check few more interesting places.
Adobe Church of the Presidio
Sterns Wharf
This is a place for all generations. Looks almost like Santa Cruz or Monterey Whapfs with dozens of touristic shops and nice sea-food restarants. But in the same time you could check Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center, or get on board of the cuise yacht.
It also has brilliant views of the town
It was windy day and we find our rest and dinner at the Longboard’s Beach Bar and Grill with salads and burgers.
Mesa Lane Steps and Beach
And we wanted to see thee sunset on the beach. I did a small research of surrounding places. Of course there is Thousand Steps Beach, which is more famous. But I found Mesa Lane beach more attractive.
After long stairways down, you see a beautiful beach.
