Around Borrego Springs

02.19. Borrego Springs

There are few things about Borrego Springs that make the place unique. One of them, of course, all these palm fields and canyons. It’s hard to imagine how nature can create paradise in the desert.
Borrego Springs is a well-known playground for the out off-highway vehicles. The sandy hills, canyons, and vistas are open to exploring. The picture is really off-planet!

Sculptures

One more thing to explore is 130 metal sculptures. Made by Ricardo Breceda, sculptures are well-known and have a lot of visitors.
I wanted to visit the Chinese Dragon most of all, and nature decided that we deserve only this. The morning when I hoped to check out the sculpture, the high wind started. The wind raised the sand into the dust storm. It made our visit almost impossible and painful for the skin.
But now we have the reason to return there again 🙂
