Another iconic place in Arizona, the magnificent Horseshoe Bend of Colorado River, the hugely visited and many time photographed.
The place is near Page, Arizona. The 1.5-mile trail starts from the rather big (but still small) parking lot. The path leads to the cliff from where the bend could be seen.
The small official area of the park was surrounded by the fence which you could walk around to find more quiet places. The views from all points are breathtaking.

Glen Canyon

Near the Page there is another easily accessible viewpoint: Glen Canyon Dam Overlook. The viewpoint has the magnificent sight of the dam and the river canyon.
