Someone asked me the question: are we returning to the places previously visited? Not always. Some others are like a magnet. I want to be back there even if I saw all sight, hiked all trails, and have photos of every season and every possible weather. Fitzerald Marine Reserve is one of such places.
The place has two parts: the shore with a beach and tide pools, and Cypress Grove. And what a Cypress grove it is!
The first time we visited a year ago and were caught by the fog. The mystic light covered each tree. Oh, how magical it was.
This time I wanted to see the place in the fog too, but the weather forecast didn’t give a possibility. But the sunset among the trees also sounded good.
You can make a loop, or walk it across. We made a loop. I didn’t want to miss any piece of the grow.
The dark shadows covered the ground, the setting sun gave everything violet color. It was a sight to never forget.
