Another one of my favorites hikes. It has everything: long views of the ridges, spring wildflowers, wildlife, and not so many hikers.
We never did it during Spring though.
We started from the Peters Creek Parking lot and moved to Long Ridge trail all way uphill. It was two or three hours before sunset with gusty cold wind and overcast skies. It was cold! So uphill hike warmed me. Plus it always a pleasure to stop on the top with a great view.
What I never noticed is that the Peters Creek trail between Zen Center and Parking lot passes old (apple?) orchard!
