When you are thinking about the best beach for you what do you imagine? Long line of the sand going into horizon? Soft warm sand? Calm ocean? Sun not very hot? You know what I’m thinking of? Rocks! Cliffs! Strange Objects! Anything that could stop my attention for a long long time. I’m fast getting asleep on the classical sand beaches…
That’s the reason I used to skip San Gregorio. The beach on two sides of the San Gregorio Creek separated by high cliffs from Highway 1 looked for me exactly as most of the Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay beaches.
But that time we decided not to rush and stop there on sunset. Week of the rain made the creek wider than usual
To get the best view we walked up the cliff. On the middle of the way to the top someone built an arch from driftwood
