The year and a half ago on cold January morning, we stopped at Ano Nuevo parking lot. And it wasn’t the best our morning. It was the day when the park closed public access to the most of it beaches. We walked a bit and drove to our favorite Pigeon Point.
The week ago I could not decide where to go; I scrolled through Google Maps when found the trail where I never been. And unexpected it was the territory of Ano Nuevo.
Early on the morning I parked across Whitehouse Creek Road and started my planned route: S. Whitehouse Creek Trail – Atkinson Bluff Trail to Franklin point.
Clouds covered sky. The fog stayed in the mountains. All atmospheric effects were in play.
Whitehouse Creek Trail finishes on the rocky beach. I was the only person there.
I crossed the creek and walked a bit when the rain starts.
It was expected, so I wore the hood and hid the camera.
Three minutes and clouds made the way to the sun.
Sun made everything happier, it even became warmer.
Right at that moment trail went to sandy dunes covered with grasses. Oh, it was so impressing!
The very last part of the trail there was the place with the view on Pigeon Point and Gazos Creek Beach.
The Franklin Point has a huge bench.
The nearest and favorite beach of mine is the Gazos Creek. It’s awesome during the Winter months but Summer made sandy part wider and water more quite.
