I love scenery Of Sierra Nevada Foothills. Hills and ridges covered with woods and snow (sometimes), stunning vistas, old towns, farms and herds of cows and ships, what could be more relaxing?
There are three new places we found during the latest trip.
First – Omega Diggings Overlook on the State Highway 20.
One mile from this location were towns of Alpha and Omega. The only what remain about them are signs of hydraulic diggings of earliest 1850’s.
Few miles (actually 3.4 miles west) is vista point with Washington Ridge overlook.
We drove few of small roads near Nevada City. The very gold country I’ve ever seen 🙂
And the most beautiful place.
South Yuba River State Park, and the site of the longest covered bridge in the US.
