So I on next posts I will describe our last three days in Oregon. We moved from Portland and moved west to Astoria.
I wanted to see Astoria column first. But unfortunately, maintenance works changed our plans. So we sat on the lawn and oversaw Columbia river and town from the top of the hill.
Beautiful Flavel House
And Astoria-Megler bridge. I fell in love with all Oregon bridge. One bridge is more awesome than other. And this one is amazing!
When I googled places on the Oregon coast this place, I found the first.Peter Iredale Shipwreck in the Fort Stevens State Park.
It was more covered with sand than on all photos in internet
And long sand beach
I am obsessed with lighthouses. This place has one. Tillamook Lighthouse is situated on the island visible from the trail if Ecola State Park.
Hike was pleasant. We saw rays of lights coming through the ribbons of fog in between of high trees. And nothing alerted me. When we reached viewpoint I felt the biggest disappointment. The fog was so dense that nothing could be seen!
Ecola State Park has lovely beach and viewpoint with impressive view
