I spent my Memorial day holidays in Washington. Okay, mainly in Seattle. This time, I want to share some downtown photos
Beautiful Pioneer Building. I wish I had more time and joined Underground tour that starts from this place.
Old part of Seattle – Pioneer Square – is a red brick building with some mystical narrow alley between them
I had breakfast at Grand Central Bakery located in this charming building on Occidental Square. Tasty croissants and good latte 🙂
Right across the square, there are wooden idols
Occidental Square is the very attractive place. Oh, probably it’s amazing to sit outside the bakery with warm pastry and coffee in the sunny day. But it was not my case
Seattle is a special place; they have their in-town waterfall!
I had a plan to watch over the city from the highest downtown building. So let’s go up from old town.
The Sky View Observatory is located on the 73rd floor of Columbia Center. Their site tells that you could see the panoramic view from Mt Rainer to Olympic mountains. But not that day. Clouds were over the horizon, and nothing except city and bay was visible.
