December food

My favorite month of the Winter and my second favorite month in the year. I love all the festive food that we are cooking for Christmas and New Year celebrations. I’m totally felt in love with simple comfort food. My California December brought me dozens of new fresh veggies to cook from. And I had time to try a lot of the interesting recipes.
12.06. Slow Roasted Salmon with Fennel
I’m a fish addict. When I was a child, my dad brought a lot of river fish each weekend. And I loved it! Eugene is totally another kind of person. Before we started to live together, he told me he hates fish. Now I’m trying to change his mind. At the beginning of the month, I picked Slow-Roasted Char with Fennel Salad 12.06. And it was the first time when I used chard in savory winter breakfast bowl with sausage, and Swiss chard
Eugene loves Brussels sprouts, and I like to bake it with mushrooms and bacon 12.19. Winter Baked breakfast

And of course, Christmas.

In the result, I had two stollens, one of them we are eating nowadays.
As a main a main course of Christmas table I selected, this time, Herb Crusted Pork

New Year Eve we started with Rosemary Lemon Roasted Chicken Breast and herb baked potatoes

We celebrated New Year with Honey Mustard Grilled Salmon on a salad with pomegranate
